From The Heart

Have you heard?

September 23, 2009, another significant milestone in the count-down to the return of Jesus was proposed.  Speaking at the United Nations, our US president stated his recommendations for something I have long believed would happen, hoping and praying that the United States would not be part to it.  Now, it seems it will have the leading part in it.  In an attempt to settle the Jewish, Palestinian dispute, our president (Barak Obama) is calling for all territories taken by Israel in the six-day war of 1967 to be put on the bargaining table; subject to being returned to the Palestinians.  This means that Israel would have to withdraw to the pre-six-day war borders (including the giving up of the eastern half of the city of Jerusalem; the old city where the Jewish temple (the wailing wall) was and the Islamic temple is).  In his speech, he specifically mentioned Jerusalem.  The regaining of these territories, especially the eastern part of the city of Jerusalem, is something that would quickly entice the Palestinians to agree to another temporary, dishonored, so called, peaceful settlement in these “seemingly” unending negotiations.  Nevertheless, any part of the city of Jerusalem is the one thing that Israel will never give up voluntarily (my opinion).  But, because of the turmoil which will continue to ensue and *the shortness of time before Jesus returns, I believe the United Nations will soon allow this to be done. If the United States is in on this, this nation will be equally guilty with all the other nations who are against Jerusalem (i.e., those who will not stand with Israel).  Why do I believe this?  I’ll let the scriptures answer that question.

Zechariah 14:1-3

Behold, the day cometh, and thy spoil (the spoil of the six-day war) shall be DIVIDED IN THE MIDST of thee.

2 For I WILL GATHER ALL NATIONS (who are) AGAINST (Israel and) JERUSALEM to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and HALF OF THE CITY (the half taken in the six-day war) shall go forth into captivity, and the RESIDUE (those that remain) of the people shall NOT be cut off from the city. (The mandate probably won’t allow this.)

3 Then shall the LORD (Jesus, the Christ return, and) go forth, and FIGHT AGAINST those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. (KJV)

I’ll let you draw your own conclusions from here.  I would only add: Woe to any and all nations who are found to conspire and fight against God and His chosen people.  I hope and pray I am wrong in this; but I have long feared and now believe that this country, the United States of America (who’s iniquity is speedily coming to the full [Genesis 15:16], has passed the point of no return from receiving the final judgments of the wrath of God.) will sit idly by while militant, suicidal, Islamically indoctrinated Muslims from nations worldwide, attack and battle the little nation of Israel to it’s knees. Please read the entire book of Zechariah, and more importantly, please pray and believe God with us for one last great ingathering of lost souls by an awakened, Holy Ghost filled church; before Jesus Christ returns.  Only true repentance toward God, and Jesus, the Christ of God, will bring the return of Christ; and with that, an end of their enemy,  and victory to Israel.

May 19, 2011 - Posting added since September, 23 2009.

President Obama has this day, reiterated a statement he made to a United Nations audience in September of 2009, as our national policy.

Late December, 2016 -  I believe it was the last week of the year (approximately 3 weeks before leaving office) President Barak Obama, in one last act of defiance against Israel became a tool in God’s hand to set Israel up for the “great time of trouble” which will take place immediately prior to the return of Christ (Daniel 12:1-13). President Obama allowed the United Nations, which is made up of a majority that always side with the Muslim nations, to vote on the Israeli, Palestine issue. The issue was about the (so called Palestinian lands which Israel has occupied and built on since the June, 1967 war). The fact is, in the June 1967 war, Israel only took their own land back from those who had occupied it for almost two millennia.  Nevertheless, the vote by the United Nations was passed and now, legally speaking, Israel must pullback to the pre June 1967 borders; thus, bringing the prophecies of God one giant step closer to fulfillment (Zechariah 14:1-3; above).

April 24 2017 - It would seem today that God may be giving America a short reprieve in President Trump; but, unless there is wide spread repentance in America, I cannot see it as anything but very short, as God sets up His chess pieces (so to speak) for a worldwide end time finale immediately prior to the return of Jesus.  JDG

Gospel Tracts and Mini Messages

We were told back in the 70s and 80s (before the advent of cell phones and twitter machines) that the attention span of the average church attender would soon be only about three minutes.  We laughed about it at the time, but today I’m wondering if the attention span of some, especially young people, is even that long.  Accordingly, in an attempt to get the message read, I have began to write shorter more compact messages; i.e., bifold Tracts (2-7/8 x 5-1/2 inches), and what I call bifold Mini Messages (2-7/8 x 7 inches).  I actually wrote the first tract at the request of a truck driving friend of mine who wanted something small enough to easily carry in a shirt pocket or in hand, and would have a strong gospel message as a witnessing tool for Christ. He wanted a message that would work for any and all lost souls he would come in contact with; regardless of race, color, gender, or any other classification of human beings. The tract, as it turned out, filled the bill for him in both size and message. The message title is “What Must One Do to Be Saved?” It is a powerful, informative, and most important of all, scriptural gospel tract that he dearly loves. He says people will start reading it while he is still witnessing to them about the Lord. He feels he is reaching many with scriptural facts most have never heard before. The text of this particular gospel tract is posted “below,” as well as on our “From the Desk page,” and some of the other pages; along with two of the slightly longer Mini Messages; all of which are in a larger size type than is on the actual Tracts and Messages. Please take the time to read these short gospel messages; even if you can only read one each day.  Reading one or more of these short messages could make the difference in where you or else someone whom you dearly care about, spend eternity. Please tell others about our gospel web site. JDG

A reminder! If you have already installed the Bible Study Program “theWord,” on your computer, you will  find it works wonderfully on the scripture references in these messages. If you have not, we urge you to do so. You’ll not be sorry you did. JDG

--------------------------------------

Note 1 To simplify selecting scripture references to be opened with theWord, especially when selecting groups of references, we are in the process of highlighting all scripture references in yellow (example; John 3:16-18). This makes selecting faster and easier with less chance of missing a reference or references.

--------------------------------------

Note 2 Complete verses already given in the text, may be shown with a hyphen between the book name and chapter instead of a space (example; John-3:16-18 in Tract 1, below). This delegitimizes that reference, and all other references so tagged (as far as theWord program is concerned).  This prevents theWord from opening those particular verses unnecessarily.

Tract 1

WHAT MUST ONE DO TO BE SAVED?

Tract 1 - By Jerry D. Green

To be SAVED a person MUST BE BORN AGAIN.  These are the words of Jesus (of Nazareth) who was, and forever will be, the ONLY BEGOTTEN of a fleshly body SON of GOD. We will show by the scriptures that this statement is true.

John-3:16-18  (v16) “For God so loved the world (lost mankind), that He gave His only begotten (of a fleshly body) Son (that He might bear our “old man” [our old sin nature] along with all previously committed sins [“…sins that are past…”], to death with Him on the cross [I Peter 2:24; Romans 3:25]), that whosoever believeth IN Him (and that which He did to save us) should not perish, but have everlasting life. (v17) For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (v18) He that believeth ON (and IN) Him is NOT condemned (there is no sentence of death on that person): but he that believeth NOT (ON and IN Him; the only begotten Son of God) is condemned already, because he (or she) hath NOT BELIEVED IN (and ON) the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

WHO IS THIS “ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD”?

One day Jesus asked His chosen disciples, “…Whom say ye that I the Son of man am? And Simon Peter answered and said, ‘Thou art THE CHRIST, the Son of the living God.’  And Jesus…said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it (this) unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 16:13-17). Now, I must ask you:

WHO DO YOU SAY THAT JESUS IS?

Concerning salvation this is the single most important thing you can ever know about Jesus of Nazareth: First, He WAS, and IS, the PROMISED MESSIAH of the Old Testament (Daniel 9:25).  He also WAS and IS, THE CHRIST (of the New Testament); the One, SENT down from heaven (John 6:38-40).  He also, WAS and IS the only begotten (of a fleshly body) Son of God; and He DID accomplish everything that it was prophesied He would do when He came, including, “… make an end of sins…” which He does in the heart of all who will believe the true report of the gospel of Him (Daniel 9:24-27).

WHY IS THIS SO IMPORTANT?

John answers with Jesus’ very own words;

“…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man (woman, boy, or girl) be BORN AGAIN (of God), he (she, or they) cannot see the kingdom of God” John 3:3.

These words, which Jesus spoke to Nicodemus, now demand another important question:

WHAT CONSTITUTES BEING BORN AGAIN?

Again, it is John who answers the question:

I John 5:1 “Whosoever BELIEVES that JESUS IS THE CHRIST IS BORN OF GOD: and everyone that loveth Him that begat (which is God the Father) loveth him also that is begotten of Him (which is firstly, Jesus CHRIST, THE SON, and by extension, all of His SPIRITUALLY born again [begotten of God] brethren [i.e., all truly born again brothers and sisters of, and in, Christ]); all the true children of God (Romans 8:29).”

John also gives a specific reason for writing the Book (or, the Gospel) of John.  In John 20:31, he writes this: “But these (things he has written) are written, that ye (you) might BELIEVE (something extremely important) that Jesus IS THE CHRIST, the Son of God; and (in) believing (these things) ye might (can) have LIFE through HIS name.”

These things of which John speaks are the things recorded in the entire Gospel (or Book) of John as well as his epistles (letters) to the churches.  If you have never read the writings of John, we earnestly urge you to do so, and begin with “The Gospel of John.” In these you will find words unto everlasting life which one must see, hear, and believe from the heart to receive from God.  It is in the seeing, hearing, and believing of these things (especially the fact that JESUS IS THE CHRIST; NT - John 4:25-26; THE MESSIAH; - OT - Daniel 9:24-27, the One SENT down from God; John 6:38-40) that we are truly born again; that we are made partakers of true salvation, that we are truly saved, which a person must be to stand before God. The importance of being in right standing with God cannot be over stated, because the alternative to “eternal LIFE” is “eternal DEATH in the lake of fire.”  But please don’t take the words of this writer for anything as important as this. Read the Words of God for yourself.

Revelation-20:11-15; (v11) “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.  (v12) And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books (of WORKS) were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to THEIR WORKS.  (v13) And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to THEIR WORKS.  (v14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the SECOND DEATH.  (v15) And whosoever was NOT found written in the BOOK of LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE of FIRE.”

What more can we say?, other than the fact that a great and mighty salvation awaits all who will repent (change their wrong thinking about Jesus, the Christ of God) and believe a true report of the gospel of Him. So call on Him today; the one who loved us enough to suffer at the hands of cruel and wicked men, even unto death on a cross; that we all (all mankind) could have an opportunity to be saved.  Outside of Jesus, the true Christ of God, there is absolutely no other way for anyone to ever be saved (John 14:6). And, lest we forget, eternity in the lake of fire awaits all who “neglect so great a salvation” as Jesus has purchased for us “by His own blood” (Hebrews 2:3; 9:12). The apostle Paul declares in Romans 1:16, “…I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for IT is the power of God unto salvation unto everyone that believeth…” (IT).  This gospel of which the apostle Paul speaks is the same gospel that, in the words of Jesus, would make the BELIEVER thereof “free indeed” from sin (John 8:30-36). Our prayer today is that you will be drawn by God the Father to seek this great and wonderful salvation of which we write in this little tract (John 6:44). For those who desire to know more about the true, soul saving gospel of Christ, we recommend the gospel web sites below. Like this little tract, these web sites are totally dedicated to proclaiming “the true gospel of Jesus Christ” to all; without fear, favor, or cost to any. If you do not already know Jesus as your Lord and Savior our hope and prayer is that you WILL come to know Him very soon; because His coming is very near.  His coming will be preceded by approximately three and a half years of extremely perilous times, in which you do not want to be found on this earth without Him (Daniel 12:6-12; Matthew 24:3-22). The cost of NOT knowing Him and His great salvation, at any time is incomprehensible.  May the truly great God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ draw you to seek, find, and believe the great salvation He has for you through, and only through, the true gospel of His dear Son.  Do not delay in seeking the indescribable rest and peace God has for your heart and soul in believing the true gospel of Jesus, the Christ and Son of God.

Mini Message 1

Repent and Believe the Gospel

Mini Message 1 - By Jerry D. Green

What comes to mind when you hear the word “repent?”  The most likely answer a person would receive, if the question were asked, is “being sorry for sins one has committed.” This is not, however, exactly what is meant when the words repent, or repentance, are used in the scriptures. Being sorry for one’s sins, alone, has never saved anyone; and never will.  It can, however, bring a person to seek an answer for their sin; which is a first step toward salvation (II Cor 7:8-12).

Sin, which is actually the nature of Satan,  is an inherent problem which all mankind  is born with; because of the disobedience of the “one man,Adam (Rom 5:12). This sin nature is what separates fallen mankind from God and can only be resolved by the elimination of the problem. Man, however, can never do this on his own, because it is a spiritual heart problem; which can only be resolved by God Himself. Therefore, we must put our faith in Him and His provision. Only then can He move to remedy our problem. His provision was accomplished for us, by and through, the giving of His Son Jesus to the death of a cross.  It is because of the things which God did for us by, and through, His Son (i.e., His shed blood, His death, His burial, resurrection, and ascension) that we can have access to God. The overall account of these things which took place are commonly called “the gospel of Christ,” and are the only way to God (Mk 1:1; John 14:6).

Outside of hearing and believing “the true gospel of Christ,” there is absolutely no other way for a person to be saved. You should be warned however, that it must be a pure, true, “rightly divided” account of the “gospel of Christ”  (II Tim 2:15).  Multitudes of false prophets lie at the door waiting to deceive and fleece the simple of the flock of God, for their own personal gain and other fleshly lust (Matt 7:15).  Only those who sincerely love the truth will ever be able to negotiate the maze of these false prophets and teachers with their false messages; to find the true “treasure hidden in the field” Matt 13:44. Nothing short of our absolute faith in the pure, true, “gospel of Jesus Christ” can provide for us that which God requires; a new, pure, clean, sinless heart.” We “must be born again” of a “new heart” and a “new spirit” (the Spirit of Christ, and filled with the Spirit of God (Ezk 36:26-27; Rom 8; I John 5:1).

But, to the primary subject of the message, we must briefly examine the definition of the Greek words translated “repent” and “repentance;” as  used in the scriptures. It is important we understand these. The Greek word translated repent is #3340 in Strong’s Greek Dictionary, and means: To think differently, or afterwards, i.e. reconsider (morally, to feel compunction): The Greek word translated repentance is Strong’s #3341 and means compunction (for guilt, including reformation); by implication, reversal (of [another’s] decision). The definition of the English word compunction (according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary): “Implies a painful sting of conscience especially for contemplated wrongdoing;” something  seldom seen in today’s worldly churches.  Based then on these findings, a summary of repent and repentance would simply be to reconsider something; to think differently about something; to reverse a past (wrong) decision; etc.  In light of these finding, we continue.

Almost 500 years before the birth of Jesus, the angel Gabriel told the prophet Daniel the exact year that Messiah (Old Testament; Hebrew), or Christ (New Testament; Greek), would come. And, according to the scriptures, all Israel at that time were expecting His coming. Many believed John (the Baptist) was “the Christ” (the promised “Messiah”); but John affirmed he was not (John 1:20).

In order to fulfill the law of Moses (which was still in effect at the time [but for us is “done away in Christ;” II Cor 3:14]),  Jesus, “that all righteousness might be fulfilled; (Matt 3:13-17) came to John the Baptist to be baptized in water.  Immediately after this, God came down and baptized Jesus with His Holy Spirit; which then led Him into a time of testing which He passed in every point (Luke 4:1; Matt 4:1). We should emphasize the fact that under the New Covenant, water baptism, circumcision, or any other ordinance or tradition of man is in no way a prerequisite for receiving salvation, the baptism of the Holy Ghost, or anything else from God (Gal 6:15; Acts 10).

Soon, Jesus began to preach, teach, and perform great miracles; after which He returned to His hometown of Nazareth where,  after reading Isa 61:1-3 (a prophecy of the Messiah [the Christ]) He was harshly received by the local synagogue (i.e., they would have killed Him); but “passing through the midst of them, He went His way” (Luke 4:17-30).

This was the first persecution and rejection of Jesus (the Christ) by Jewish Israel; but it would not be the last.  The Jewish rulers would not stop their persecution of Him until they had succeeded in His death.  Sadly, the Jewish people have suffered horrendously for this wrong decision.  For almost 2000 years since, the Jewish people have suffered persecutions of every possible description.  From the siege of Jerusalem in 70 AD, to the centuries of being scattered throughout the nations (Psa 60:1), to the more recent holocaust of the past century; they have been displaced and scattered, without a nation of their own until 1948.  Since then they have suffered almost constant war; perhaps one or more every decade.  But until there is a repenting unto repentance, this suffering will only continue and worsen. They must reconsider what they have been taught about Jesus, the Christ.  They must begin to think differently about Him.  There must be a reversal of the terrible decision their forefathers made so many hundreds of years ago. Only then, will they repent of the great sin of their fathers and look favorably unto, and call upon, Him whom their fathers rejected and pierced and their children for all time since have condoned (Psa 49:11). When this repentance takes place, and it will, there will be great mourning in the land of Israel for their deliverer, and for their past rejection of Him (Zech 12; Zech 13; Zech 14; Joel 1; Joel 2; Joel 3; Dan 12; Rev 9).

A great struggle of conscience between the things the Jew has been taught about Jesus, and the truth according to the holy scriptures of God, will take place before this repentance comes.  Nevertheless, this struggle will take place and repentance will come before Jesus returns (Matt 24:29-31). The Jewish people will begin to think differently about Him.  There will be a reversal of their thinking concerning the horrible decisions their forefathers made so many hundreds of years before (i.e., their rejection of Jesus as the Christ).  Again, this repentance WILL come; but NOT until the Jewish people have first endured one last (approximately) 3½ years of a “…time of trouble…” such as never was since there was a nation, until that time…, nor ever shall be” again (Dan 12:1; Joel 2:2; Matt 24:21; Mrk 13:19-27).  This time of trouble will not end until two thirds of the Israeli population (approximately 5.5 million) “…in all the land (of Israel) shall be cut off and die…” (Zech 13:8-9. The total population of Israel at the May 2016 census was approximately 8.25 million).

Nevertheless, this is the plight of the Israeli people; but what about the rest of the world. To them God says in Isa 28:22; “Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption (a destruction), even determined upon the whole earth.” And, Jer 25:29; “…lo, I begin to bring evil on the city (of Jerusalem) which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall NOT be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Simultaneously, circumstances similar to those going on in Israel will also be taking place worldwide. This will include the struggle with radical Islam, as well as the struggle of conscience over the issue of “the Christ; both of which the Jews will also be struggling. But, whether Jew or Gentile, the answer is the same for all.  Repent and believe the gospel of Christ; or perish eternally.

Rev 9:12-16  v12 “One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter. v13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden alter which is before God,  v14   Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. v15 And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the THIRD part of men.  v16 And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand, thousand (200 million): and I (John) heard the number of them.”  (These are the locust army of God, [i.e., Islamist terrorist] Joel 2; 3).

This earth will soon become a giant ball of death and destruction and there is only one safe place for both Jews and Gentiles (all other peoples) for now and forever.  “Now is the day of salvation” (II Cor 6:2).  To be saved, “…your life (must) be hid with Christ in God” (Col 3:3); which is, “the secret place of the most High” (Psalm 91).

How does one get into God’s secret place; which is IN Christ?  We must believe in God and His provision.  For “…of him (God) are ye IN Christ Jesus, who of God is made  unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption (I Cor 1:30).”  Therefore, repent with compunction.  Reconsider what you think about Jesus, the Christ of God. Reverse your thinking concerning your forefathers RELIGION; whosoever, whatsoever and wheresoever they, or it, may be. Whether Jew, Gentile, atheist, or just plain lost. Change your thinking about the wrong decisions your forefathers made whether long, or not so long, ago.  Let your thinking be realigned with the truth of the Holy Scriptures (God’s word); then believe the true gospel of Jesus Christ and be saved.

The Nature of the Serpent

Mini Message 2 - By Jerry D. Green

Has anyone ever talked to you about your need to be saved?  Did you, or they, leave with you still wondering what the real difference between being lost and being saved was.  If this is your case, there is little wonder that you did. There are few people today who actually know why a person needs to be saved.  But if a person doesn’t know they are lost, and the horrible consequences of being so, how can they possibly know they need to be saved. The answer to this question should be taught from the pulpits of every church on the planet; but, many pastors do not themselves, know the answer.  Thus, “the blind lead the blind, and all fall into the ditch” (Luke 6:39).  This message is an attempt to reveal the difference between being lost and being saved; and what a lost person must do to be saved.

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” and all that was therein; and “God saw that it was good.” He planted a garden east of Eden, where He placed His newly created man and woman; along with every plant that was good for food.  He also placed two unique trees “in the midst of the garden, …the tree of life… and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil;” the latter of which they were strictly forbidden to eat the fruit thereof (Gen 1:1, 27; 2:7-8, 25; 3:1-24). There was only one way out of that wonderful garden, but, because of the deceptive lie planted by “the dragon, that old serpent, which is the devil and Satan,” Adam and Eve did find the way out (Gen 3:1-5; John 8:44; Rev 20:2). But regrettably, for both them and for us, they also found themselves with a different spirit and a different nature than they had had before. Instead, they now found themselves with the nature of the serpent (a fallen, rebellious, sinful nature); which, until this very day is the case of lost mankind. Every human being ever born on this earth, excepting Jesus, the Christ (who was physically born of the virgin Mary, by God [i.e., by the Holy Ghost] Matt 1:18-25), inherit the same fallen sinful nature that Adam and Eve received in their fall. In this, they (Adam and Eve) became “the foundation (stock; i.e., ancestors) of THE (entire, fallen) WORLD.  Their every descendant was (and yet is) inherently born with the same fallen nature as Satan himself.  What does all this mean?  It means that the flesh (not the physical body, but), the fallen spirit (or nature, of fallen man) produces fallen, sinful works. Gal 5:19-21 will tell us about these: v19 “Now the works of the flesh (the fallen, sinful, nature of man) are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, v20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, v21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and (all) such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT inherit the kingdom of God.” If any of these are working in you, you need to be saved, “now” (today). Jesus is coming soon (II Cor 6:2; Lk 12:40).

Irrespective of what many teach today regarding Rev 4:1, the things which John saw are not things that will only happen after Jesus returns.  They are in fact, things that “must be hereafter” from the time John saw them until the end of the thousand year reign of Jesus, the Christ, on this earth; and beyond. With the passing of time and the worldwide increase in population and knowledge, man’s ability to wage war, etc., has also increased in both magnitude and frequency (all of which are the result of the entrance of sin Rom 5:12); and will continue to do so.  It is at the climax of this great “time of trouble” prophesied by Jesus and many of the OT prophets; and described metaphorically in the book of Revelation, that Jesus, the “Prince of Peace” (Isa 9:6)  will return with His “rod of iron” (symbolic of a chastening rod that will not break, bend, or wear out until the desired result is accomplished in rebellious, unbelieving, people and nations [Psa 2; Rev 2:27; 12:5; 19:15; Isa 65:25; Zech 14:17]); to bring an end to war and it’s weapons that fill and “destroy the earth” (Isa 2:4; Mic 4:3; Rev 11:18), for the thousand years that follow (Isa 22:5; Luke 21:25; Matt 24:29-31; Mrk 13:24-27; Rev 20:7-9).

This erroneous teaching of Rev 4:1 is just one more deception of Satan, by and through his ministers (II Cor 11:3, 14-15), to keep you from seeing your urgent need to be saved; before it’s too late. That you might dwell eternally with God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, along with all the saints of God; of and for all time (John 14:6, 20; Col 3:3). NO sin, and NO sinners will ever enter the heaven of God; Rev 21:7-8, 27.

For all who inherit the kingdom of God by new birth (John 20:31; I John 5:1), there is good news. Please read Gal 5:13-26 in your bible. These scripture verses tell us much more about this subject.  Gal 5:16-18;  v16 “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit (of Christ, and of God), and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  v17 For the flesh (the fallen, sinful, nature of mankind) lusteth against (opposes) the Spirit (of Christ), and (likewise) the Spirit (of Christ is against; opposes) the flesh (which is of the spirit of Satan [the serpent]): and these are contrary the one to the other: so that … (you) cannot do the things … (you) would (have done before salvation; Rom 7; 8).  v18 But if  (you) be led of the Spirit (of Christ), ye are not under the law.”  Gal 5:22-25; v22 “… (For) the fruit of the Spirit (of Christ) is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, v23 Meekness, (and) temperance: against such (as these) there is no law.  v24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust (thereof). (Rom 6:6. v25) (Therefore) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”

Oh!, that every person on this planet were “born again” and walking in, and after, the Spirit of Christ, and of God; but they are not. If they were, Rev 6 would read very differently. Unfortunately that is not the case; so as briefly as possible we will examine the four riders (of the four horses) of Rev 6.

These four horsemen depict the direct results of Adams transgression and the entrance of sin (the nature of Satan, the serpent) which came upon the entire human race because of Adam’s disobedience.  Rom 5:12  “Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have (sin, the nature, and therefore have) sinned (committed sins, because of the fallen sin nature which they inherited).  Lost people are not sinners because they have committed sins; but they sin (commit sins) because they are born sinners (born with a heart to sin):”

Rev-6:2  “And I saw, and behold a WHITE HORSE: and he that sat on him had a bow; (This was Adam as he was created; before the entrance of sin; and this bow is not a weapon, but a covenant bow (a rainbow) and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer” (i.e., having dominion; Psalm 8:4-9).

Rev-6:4And there went out another HORSE that was RED: and power was given to him that sat thereon (which is sin; Rom 5:12) to take peace from the earth, …that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword” (symbolic of war and murder; Matt 15:17-20; I Jn 3:15).

Rev-6:5  “And  when  he  had  opened  the third  seal,  I  heard  the  third  beast  say Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a BLACK HORSE; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand” (a weighing device; symbolic of the judgment of the whole world; Dan 5:26-30).

Rev-6:7-8  v7 “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.  v8 And I looked, and behold a PALE HORSE: and his name that sat on him was Death (the wages of sin; Rom 6:23), and Hell (Strong’s #1067, a place of everlasting punishment) followed with him.  And power was given unto them (these four riders) over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

The world has now experienced about 6,000 years of the effects of these four riders, and today we stand on the very brink of their climax before the return of Jesus.  Only those of a pure, clean, heart can stand before Him.  Are you ready (Matt 24:44)?

There is yet one more horseman to ride. Another man on another white horse; one of incontestable eminence. This will be the most notable ride of any man who ever lived on this earth.  Although His ride is given medaphorically, all will be accomplished that is written. Unlike Adam (the rider of the first white horse) this man (Jesus, the Christ of God), as He did the first time He was sent (John 3:14-19; John 5:24), will not fail in that which He is sent to do this second time; rule the nations of this earth with a rod of iron for a thousand years and beyond (I Cor 15:24-28; Rev 11:15; 12:5; 19:15; 20:13-15).

Rev-19:11-16  v11 “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a WHITE HORSE; and HE that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness HE doth judge and make war.  v12 HIS eyes were as a flame of fire, and on HIS head were many crowns; and HE had a name written, that no man knew, but HE HIMSELF.  v13 And HE was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and HIS name is called The Word of God (John 1:1).  v14 And the armies which were in heaven followed HIM upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.  v15 And out of HIS mouth goeth a sharp sword (the Word of God; Eph 6:17), that with IT HE should smite the nations: and HE shall rule them with a rod of iron: and HE treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.   v16 And HE hath on HIS vesture and on HIS thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Are you prepared to stand before THE RIDER of this last WHITE HORSE (Luke 12:40])?

Mini Message 2 - By Jerry D. Green

---------------------------------------------------

If you would like to know more about the true gospel of “Jesus, the Christ and Son of God,” please log onto one of the web addresses above.

---------------------------------------------------

(If you have Jewish friends or know any Jewish people, Mini Message1 above is a message they desperately need to read; and hopefully hear with their heart.)

----------------------------------------------------

Have you ever considered a tract ministry?

Matthew-9:37-38

v37 Then saith he (Jesus) unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; v38  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

For anyone who has ever considered a tract ministry, there has never been a better time to start one.  As end-time prophecies continue to unfold in real-time; we believe that people will soon, as never before in my recent memory, begin searching for an answer to the things that are “coming upon the earth” (Luke 21:26; Matt 24:29-30). Most lost people, including lost religious people should be ready to welcome anyone who has an honest answer for their problems. They should be glad to hear your testimony and/or receive a small tract and/or mini message; small in size and short in words, but long in truth.

If you have read and appreciate, one or more of the three above messages, and feel led of the Lord to start a tract ministry of your own; please pray earnestly about doing so.  If, after you have prayed, you still feel led to start a tract ministry, we would like to help you to get started. If you already have your own copying and printing equipment, or, have convenient access to commercial copying and printing; we will, at your request send you, without charge, two pre-edited layouts of each one of the three (3) bifold messages (above). With these, you can make as many copies of each tract or mini message as you need; as you need them. A truck driving brother and friend of mine has a very fruitful ministry handing out tracts and witnessing for the Lord (combined with his witness, he’s handed out hundreds of the tract titled “What Must One Do to Be Saved”). There are not a lot of people who can actually give a true, scriptural answer to this question.  A question people desperately need to know the answer to.

These three messages, though intentionally brief, reveal true scriptural answers to those who are searching for truth, life and peace; and that eternal.  If you think this is something you would like to try, please begin your ministry with these 3 message titles. These are messages the lost world needs to hear, read, and know about. To contact us about receiving these pre-edited layouts, go to Contact and Links on the navigation bar (top left side of the page).  Or, you may copy and paste our website address, jdg@thetruegospelwebsite.org, directly into your web browser.  Either way, please be sure to include your full name and complete mailing address. Thanks so much for considering this offer.  We’re looking forward to hearing from you. JDG

Which Jesus Do You Serve?

May 9, 2013

Hebrews 11:6  “…Without faith it is impossible to please… (God): for he that cometh to God must (first) believe that he is (i.e., that He exists, and that He is Almighty, and everlasting), and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

John 3:3       Jesus (the Christ) answered and said unto…(Nicodemus), Verily, verily, I say unto…(you), Except a…(a person) be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

I John 4:7    Beloved, let us love one another (with Godly [agape] love; love that will lay down it’s own life for the good of others): for (Godly) love is (only) of God; and every one that loveth (with Godly love) is born (again) of God, and knoweth God. (This is a true saying, because agape [Godly love] is one of the many attributes of being born of God.)

I John 5:1    Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat (i.e., the Father) loveth him also that is begotten of him (i.e., Jesus, the Christ, the only begotten of a fleshly body Son and, all of His truly born again spiritual brethren; i.e., His true church; His true people, who are also sons of God).

I John 5:4    For whatsoever (whosoever) is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (the faith which we believe, [which is the gospel, the good news, the true doctrine of the Christ and all that He accomplished for us through His death on the cross of Calvary; etc.]).

I John 5:10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness IN himself: he that believeth NOT God hath made him (God) a liar; because he believeth NOT the record that God gave of his Son.

I John 5:18  We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten (born) of God keepeth himself (through the believing of the [true] faith), and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Are you a professed believer of Jesus?  If so, which Jesus do you serve? Do you profess a Jesus that saves, while leaving you in your sin; or a Jesus that makes free from sin. The apostle Paul warned the church at Corinth, concerning some false ministries that had already came to them with just such a message; and, would soon extend to the ends of the earth with their message(s) of death (Matthew 23:15; Today the scribes, Pharisees, and hypocrites have been joined by an untold multitude of others false ministers and ministries.). Paul referred to these deceivers as “…he that commeth…,” but was definitely speaking of the false teachers, preachers, etc., who would come (both to them, and to us) preaching “ANOTHER Jesus. A Jesus that had, and still has, NO power to “save from sin.” Another Jesus never does and never will. What is another Jesus? It is any Jesus who is NOT, “Jesus, the Christ,” who came “to make an end of sins” (Daniel 9:24). Note Paul’s warning to the church at Corinth.

II Corinthians 11:2-4

v2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband (even Jesus, the Christ), that I may present you (not as a sinner, but) AS A CHASTE VIRGIN TO CHRIST (Paul is speaking allegorically of our spiritual walk).

v3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should (also) be corrupted from the simplicity that is IN CHRIST (which is simply believing a true report of the gospel; the true record of God).

v4 For IF he that cometh preacheth ANOTHER JESUS, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive ANOTHER SPIRIT, which ye have NOT (previously) received (from the preaching of Paul and/or any who may have been sent by him), or (if you receive) ANOTHER GOSPEL, which ye have NOT (previously) accepted, ye might well bear with him (or them).

Has anyone came to you lately preaching another gospel, and/or, another Jesus that supposedly saves, but leaves you in a struggle with sin (evil desires), and sins (evil desires committed). If so, they are either not preaching the true gospel, or you have not believed the true gospel. If you receive (and believe) those with a false message, you will also receive another spirit (which is NOT, the Holy Spirit of God).  Who are these false preachers and teachers; and how do they come to us? Jesus, the Christ describes them best in Matthew 7:15. They are the false prophets (apostles; preachers; and teachers), who come “...to you in sheep’s clothing (feigning and claiming to be of the flock of God), but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”  They don’t come wearing a sign, or audibly announcing the fact that they are not the real thing. Instead, they themselves being beguiled, come to you subtly with their beguiling message; and with it, they beguile those who do not love the truth and choose to be willingly ignorant, of and to it; II Peter 3:5). Jesus has warned us of these, and  instructed us to be “…wise as serpents, …(but) harmless as doves” (Matthew 10:16).

How do we judge such a ministry, whether it be true or false? Jesus continues, you “…shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” (Matthew 7:16).  The apostle John also warns us, saying, “…try (test) the spirits (of all those who come to you by whatever means; i.e., the printed page, electronically, in person, or whatever) whether they are of God (or not): because MANY false prophets are gone out into the world” (I John 4:1-3).  How true these sayings are yet today, and moreso.

Still too complicated? What do we mean by, not “THE Christ?”  We are simply saying that there is “another (i.e., other) Jesus(s),and other christs (i.e, antichrists [I John 2:18]), that are also being promoted and preached today, who are NOT “Jesus, THE Christ” of the record of God. This Jesus is not the Messiah (the Christ) that God foretold in the scriptures. He is NOT, the promised Messiah who would come to “…make an end of sins…” (see Daniel 9:24 in the following paragraph; also, John 8:34-36; 3rd paragraph below).  How then do we judge the true from the false?

The following is a portion of the record God gives of

the Messiah (OT), who is the Christ, as His Son (NT; John 4:25-26).

Daniel 9:24-25

v24  Seventy weeks (of years) are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, 1. to finish the transgression, … 2. and TO MAKE AN END OF SINS, … 3. to make reconciliation for iniquity, … 4. to bring in everlasting righteousness, … 5. to seal up the vision and prophecy, and 6. to anoint the most Holy.

v25  Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks….

If we profess to believe in and on Jesus as the Son, then we must believe that He was/and is also the Messiah, the Christ of God; then we must also believe that these particular Old Testament scriptures (which many call the 70 week prophecy of Daniel) are actually a direct message from God, delivered to Daniel by the angel Gabriel, concerning the coming Messiah (the Christ); and, when He would come. Believing this, we must also believe that He not only came at the exact appointed time, but through His sufferings; which included the shedding of His blood unto death, on a cross, He was buried, and on the third day He was resurrected from death unto life). Having accomplished these things, He also accomplished all of the other things that He would do, which were foretold in the above verses of scripture. One last thing: Do not allow your faith to stagger on this final step.  In all who can believe the gospel truth; Romans 6, He also accomplished, and accomplishes these things IN all who believe it (it being, a  true report of the gospel of Christ [Galatians 1:6-7]).

Romans 1:16  “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth (it); to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (the Gentile).”

If you do not believe these things (the record that God gave, and yet gives of His Son), you make God to be a liar.  All four of these verses, Daniel 9:24-27, but especially the first two (v24 and v25) are God’s record of when the Messiah (OT), the Christ (NT) would come; and, what He would do when He came. (For a more in depth message on these four verses of Daniel 9:24-27, please read LS Message 1, on this Web site. Let me also say that the verses used in this message are by no means the entirety of the record gives of His Son, both Old Testament and New.)

God’s record continues in the New Testament.

Matthew 1:21

v21  And she (Mary) shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he SHALL SAVE  HIS PEOPLE FROM THEIR SINS.

John 8:31-36

v31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which (who) believed on him (those who believed He was Jesus of Nazareth; those who believed He was a son of Joseph the carpenter; those who believed He was a miracle worker; and, those who believed He was a prophet.  Hopefully, this is not the Jesus you believe in, or on because these Jews did not believe He was that prophet (Deut. 18:15; Acts 3:20-23). Therefore, they did not believe He was the Messiah, the Christ, who would come to “…make an end of sins….” It is to these believing, or should we say unbelieving Jews, that Jesus, the Christ says,), “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;”

v32  “And (after I have suffered the death of the cross) ye shall KNOW THE TRUTH (of the sufferings of the Christ on the cross of Calvary, and what those sufferings will yet do for those who hear and believe a true report of them; i.e., the true gospel), and (the believing of) THE TRUTH (concerning those sufferings) shall MAKE YOU FREE (indeed from sin, as the following verses will show.  Again, if you have not already done so, please read Romans 6 (the entire chapter); also, the ten preceding verses of this eighth chapter of John; John 8:21-30).

v33  They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to (were never the natural servants of or to) any man: how sayest thou (to us), Ye shall be made free?

v34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

v35  And the servant (of sin) abideth not in the (Father’s) house for ever: but the Son abideth (for)ever.

v36  If the Son therefore shall make you free (from sin), ye shall be free INDEED (in fact, in actuality, in reality; from sin).

This is a small, though weighty, portion of the record God gives of His Son. There is much more of the record given in the scriptures; which, in the interest of brevity we cannot give in this writing.  We must, however, either believe God’s record of His Son, or be faced with the charge of making Him out to be a liar (I John 5:10-12).  Neither “…shall (we ever) be free” (from sin, if we do not believe God’s record of the Christ).  Do you believe this record which God gives of His Son, Jesus, the Christ?  You will never be free indeed from sin until you do. We close with the scripture with which we began this writing:

Hebrews 11:6  “…Without faith it is impossible to please… (God): for he that cometh to God must (first) believe that he is (not only that He exists, but that He is God, the Almighty one, and then, believe the record He gives of His Son, Jesus, the Christ), and (only then, will you know) that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” So believe the record God gives of His Son (Jesus, the Christ) and be made free from sin.  This is true salvation.  Do not allow the enemy of your soul to deceive you.  JDG
